Use of this website is provided by The East London Mosque Trust, subject to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
Your use of this website constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions as at the date of your first use of the site.
By registering for Muslim Charity Run, making a donation, signing up as a fundraiser, volunteering, attending the event, or taking part in related activities, you also agree to any event-specific rules, registration terms, safety instructions and participant guidance issued by Muslim Charity Run.
If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full, use of this website must be terminated immediately.
2. Changes to these Terms
The East London Mosque Trust reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time by posting changes online.
Your continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of this agreement as modified.
3. Lawful use of this website
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this website by, any third party.
You must not use this website to transmit, upload, publish or share anything unlawful, abusive, defamatory, discriminatory, misleading, harmful, offensive, malicious, spam-related or otherwise inappropriate.
Users of any interactive features, forms, comments, fundraising pages or registration functions must also comply with any relevant terms of use, participant rules or platform rules.
4. Website information and availability
This website and the information, names, images, pictures and logos regarding or relating to Muslim Charity Run and The East London Mosque Trust are provided without any representation or endorsement made and without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied.
We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all information will always be complete, accurate or available.
Event details, routes, dates, times, venues, activities, registration arrangements, charity partners, fundraising information and volunteer arrangements may be changed where necessary.
The East London Mosque Trust does not warrant that the functions contained in this website will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that this website or the server that makes it available are free of viruses, bugs or other harmful components.
5. About Muslim Charity Run
Muslim Charity Run is a community fundraising event that brings together participants, families, charities, volunteers and supporters to raise funds for good causes and promote health, community spirit and positive social action.
The event may include runs, walks, stalls, children’s activities, charity displays, volunteer activity, fundraising promotions, photography, filming, media coverage and related programmes.
6. Registration and participation
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering for Muslim Charity Run.
Participants must follow the age, category, distance, health, accessibility, supervision and safety requirements set out during registration or in event communications.
Where a participant is under 18, a parent, guardian, school, mosque, charity, team leader or responsible adult may be required to complete or approve registration and accept responsibility for the participant.
Registration places are personal to the named participant unless we agree otherwise. Places must not be transferred, exchanged or resold without permission.
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or transfer a registration where information is inaccurate, payment has not been received, eligibility rules are not met, safety requirements are not followed, or we reasonably believe participation may create a risk to the participant or others.
7. Payments, tickets and booking platforms
Registration fees, ticket prices and optional purchases will be shown at the point of booking.
Payments may be processed by third-party ticketing, payment, donation or fundraising providers. Their own terms and conditions, privacy notices and payment rules may also apply.
You are responsible for checking all booking details before submitting registration or payment.
8. Cancellations, refunds and statutory rights
Your statutory rights are not affected.
Registration fees, tickets and optional purchases will be handled in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.
Some event registrations, tickets or services connected with leisure activities on a specific date may not carry the same cancellation rights as ordinary online purchases. Where cancellation rights do apply, we will honour them in line with the law.
Unless stated otherwise at the point of booking, registration fees are non-refundable once a place has been confirmed, except where a refund is required by law or where we decide to offer a refund, transfer or credit at our discretion.
If we cancel the event, we will explain the available options. These may include a refund, partial refund, transfer to a future event, or the option to donate the fee.
Third-party booking, ticketing or payment processing fees may not always be refundable.
If the event is changed, postponed or cancelled because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, public safety concerns, emergency services advice, local authority instruction, venue restrictions, public health requirements or other unavoidable circumstances, we will act reasonably and communicate available options as soon as practicable.
We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, childcare, loss of fundraising income or other personal costs incurred by participants, volunteers, spectators or supporters.
9. Health, fitness and safety
By registering or taking part, participants confirm that they are fit and able to participate safely in the chosen activity.
Participants are responsible for seeking medical advice before taking part if they have any health condition, injury, disability, pregnancy-related concern, medication issue or other matter that may affect safe participation.
Participants must follow all safety instructions from event staff, marshals, stewards, venue staff, first aiders, security, police, local authority officers or emergency services.
We reserve the right to stop, remove or refuse entry to anyone where we reasonably believe there is a safety risk, medical concern, misconduct, breach of rules, failure to follow instructions, or risk to the wellbeing of others.
10. Children and vulnerable participants
Children must be supervised in line with event rules and any instructions given by the event team.
Parents, guardians, teachers, group leaders and responsible adults must make sure children in their care are properly registered, supervised and supported throughout the event.
Some activities may have age, height, capacity, consent or safety restrictions. We may refuse access to an activity where these requirements are not met.
We may share relevant information with safeguarding bodies, emergency services, medical professionals, local authorities or other appropriate organisations where necessary to protect a child, vulnerable adult or any person at risk.
11. Accessibility and additional needs
We aim to make Muslim Charity Run as welcoming and accessible as reasonably possible.
Participants, volunteers or attendees with accessibility needs, medical requirements or support needs should tell us during registration or contact us before the event.
We will consider reasonable adjustments where practicable, in line with the Equality Act 2010. Some requests may depend on venue, route, safety, staffing, supplier or operational limits.
12. Fundraising and donations
All fundraising connected with Muslim Charity Run must be lawful, honest, respectful and transparent.
Participants, volunteers, charities, schools, mosques, teams and community groups must comply with applicable UK fundraising law, charity law, HMRC requirements and the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Fundraising Practice.
Fundraisers must not mislead donors, apply undue pressure, make false claims, collect money without permission, use the Muslim Charity Run name or East London Mosque Trust branding without approval, or suggest that they represent a charity or cause unless authorised to do so.
Where funds are raised for a specific charity partner, the relevant charity is responsible for its own charitable status, fundraising materials, donor communications, financial handling, regulatory compliance and use of funds.
Cash collections, public collections, bucket collections, street collections, raffles, prize draws, lotteries or other regulated fundraising activity must not take place unless all required permissions, licences and approvals have been obtained in advance.
Donations are generally non-refundable unless required by law or in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the relevant charity, donation platform or payment provider.
Gift Aid may only be claimed where the donor is eligible, has made a valid declaration and the relevant HMRC requirements are met.
13. Volunteers
Volunteers must provide accurate information, attend briefings where required, follow instructions, act respectfully, maintain confidentiality where appropriate, and carry out only the role they have been allocated.
We may change, withdraw or reassign volunteer roles where necessary for event delivery, safety or operational reasons.
Volunteers may be asked to complete safeguarding, health and safety or role-specific checks depending on the nature of their role.
14. Conduct at the event
All participants, volunteers, spectators, stallholders, partners and attendees must behave respectfully and safely.
You must not engage in abusive, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, violent, unsafe, indecent, disruptive or unlawful behaviour.
You must not bring prohibited items, interfere with event equipment, obstruct routes, ignore safety instructions, damage property, misuse charity branding, or act in a way that could harm the reputation of Muslim Charity Run, The East London Mosque Trust, charity partners or the venue.
We reserve the right to remove anyone from the event without refund where behaviour breaches these Terms or creates risk to others.
15. Photography, filming and media
Photography and filming may take place at the event for publicity, reporting, fundraising, website, press, social media and future promotional use.
By attending a public event area, you acknowledge that you may appear in general event photography or filming.
We will take reasonable steps to handle images respectfully and with safeguarding in mind.
Focused photography or filming of children may require appropriate permission where necessary.
If you have a concern, please contact us before the event or speak to the event team on the day.
You must not take intrusive, inappropriate or unsafe photographs or videos of others.
16. Stalls, vendors and partners
Stallholders, vendors, contractors, sponsors, delivery partners and charity partners may be subject to separate agreements, booking terms, insurance requirements, food safety requirements, risk assessments, safeguarding expectations and venue rules.
We may refuse or remove any stall, material, activity, product, signage or display that we consider unsafe, unsuitable, misleading, unlawful, reputationally risky or inconsistent with the values of the event.
17. Copyright restrictions
Commercial use or publication of all or any item displayed on this website is strictly prohibited without prior authorisation from The East London Mosque Trust.
Nothing contained on this website shall be construed as conferring any licence by The East London Mosque Trust to use any item displayed.
Documents may be copied for personal use only on the condition that copyright and source indications are also copied, no modifications are made, and the document is copied entirely.
Some documents, images, videos or materials may have been published on this website with the permission of the relevant copyright owners who are not The East London Mosque Trust. All rights are reserved on these materials and permission to copy them must be requested from the copyright owners.

We may remove or refuse to publish any content at our discretion.
20. Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to this, The East London Mosque Trust will not be liable for any damages including, without limitation, indirect or consequential damages, loss of use, loss of fundraising income, loss of profit, loss of goodwill, loss of data, travel costs, accommodation costs, personal arrangements, or damages arising from the use of, or in connection with the use of, this website or event participation, whether in contract, negligence or otherwise.
Participants, volunteers, spectators and attendees are responsible for their own belongings. We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property unless caused by our negligence.
21. Force majeure
We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control.
This may include extreme weather, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, public health restrictions, venue closure, transport disruption, security threat, police or local authority instruction, power failure, supplier failure, civil unrest, national emergency or other unexpected event.
22. Conflicts with specific terms
If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and specific rules, participant terms, registration terms, platform terms or event instructions appearing on this website or issued in relation to Muslim Charity Run, the specific terms shall prevail where applicable.

Personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy.

24. Governing law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
